Invision Group is seeking an experienced Fire Door Carpenter for a long-term freelance role in London and surrounding areas. The role involves collecting doors and materials from a storage facility near the initial project and travelling between sites across London as needed.

Responsibilities include installing and replacing fire doors in social housing properties, performing passive fire protection tasks, and ensuring compliance with fire safety standards. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Social housing experience is required.
• Experience installing fire doors.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery.
• Asbestos Awareness.
• Working at Heights.
• Manual Handling.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Flexible and willing to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Door Carpenter to join a recognised passive fire protection specialist contractor on a long-term freelance basis. The initial project will be based in London, with further works available across surrounding areas. The successful candidate will collect doors and materials from a storage facility located close to the initial project. Initially contract will be located around the West London region with future workload throughout London.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Fire Door Carpenter to secure long-term work with an established passive fire protection specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installing and replacing fire doors within social housing properties.
• Collecting doors and materials from the local storage facility.
• Carrying out associated passive fire protection and firestopping works when required, including filling cavity barriers and other remedial works.
• Ensuring all works are completed to a high standard and in line with relevant fire safety requirements.
• Travelling between sites as required.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous social housing experience
• Previous experience installing fire doors.
• Full UK Driving Licence
• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery
• Asbestos Awareness.
• Working at Heights.
• Manual Handling.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Flexible and willing to travel between sites.

Package:

• £225 - £235 per day CIS / Self-Employed
• Van provided
• Fuel card provided
• Long-term freelance opportunity.
