The role focuses on commissioning complex addressable fire alarm systems, programming cause & effect, and verifying interfaces across large, networked installations in prestigious commercial and high-rise properties.

The position offers strong earning potential with regular overtime, day/night shifts, and a permanent or subcontract route.

Qualifications

• Strong fire alarm commissioning experience.
• Cause & effect programming and testing experience.
• Experience with large addressable/networked systems.
• Gent and/or Notifier experience desirable.
• Closed-protocol system experience advantageous.
• Commercial/high-rise experience beneficial.
• Strong technical and fault-finding ability.
• Good understanding of BS 5839.
• Full UK driving licence.
• ECS or equivalent preferred.

Fire Commissioning Engineer - London £50,000+ Basic | Excellent OTE | 4-Day Night Shift Option | Permanent or Subcontract

V7 Recruitment is looking for experienced Fire Commissioning Engineers to join an established fire systems specialist with a strong and growing workload across London.

You'll be working across some of London's most prestigious commercial and high-rise buildings, commissioning complex fire alarm systems and carrying out cause & effect works.

This is a senior technical position with excellent earning potential, regular overtime and both day and night-shift opportunities available.

The Role

• Commissioning complex addressable fire alarm systems
• Programming, testing and proving cause & effect
• Testing interfaces with associated building systems
• Fault finding across large networked systems
• System modifications and upgrades
• Completing commissioning documentation and handovers
• Supporting service and project teams with technical issues
• Working across major commercial and high-rise buildings throughout London

Experience Required

• Strong Fire Alarm Commissioning experience
• Cause & effect programming and testing experience
• Experience with large addressable/networked systems
• Gent and/or Notifier experience highly desirable
• Closed-protocol system experience advantageous
• Commercial/high-rise experience beneficial
• Strong technical and fault-finding ability
• Good understanding of BS 5839
• Full UK driving licence
• ECS or equivalent preferred

Engineers with a strong technical background who are willing to undertake additional manufacturer training will also be considered.

Package

• £50,000+ basic salary, depending on experience
• Excellent OTE with regular overtime available

Permanent or Subcontract

The preference is permanent employment, however experienced subcontract Fire Commissioning Engineers will also be considered depending on experience and availability.
