HP4 Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Fire Alarm Engineer for a West London role. You will service, fault-find and commission a range of fire alarm systems, including Advanced, Kentec and Morley, across a varied client base.

The role requires independence, strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work to high safety standards. A full UK driving licence and willingness to join a call-out rota are essential; salary is up to £50,000 with benefits and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer, ideally Senior level.
• Strong experience in servicing, fault finding, repairs and commissioning.
• Good working knowledge of Advanced, Kentec, Morley and other control panel systems.
• Broad technical knowledge across manufacturers and system types.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of BS 5839 standards where applicable.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, proactive and organised approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance and inspections of fire alarm systems.
• Diagnose faults, identify issues and perform repairs.
• Commission, test and verify new and upgraded installations.
• Work with multiple fire alarm panels from major manufacturers.

The Role

You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and commissioning a range of fire alarm systems across a varied customer base, ensuring work is completed to a high technical standard, and customers receive an excellent level of service.

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing and inspections of fire alarm systems.
• Diagnosing faults, identifying system issues and carrying out effective repairs.
• Commissioning, testing and verifying new and upgraded fire alarm installations.
• Working across a variety of fire alarm control panels, including Advanced, Kentec, Morley and other established manufacturers.
• Ensuring systems operate correctly and comply with applicable industry standards and manufacturer requirements.
• Completing service reports, commissioning documentation and all relevant paperwork accurately.
• Providing technical advice and support to customers and colleagues.
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships through professional communication and service delivery.
• Participating in the call-out rota and responding to emergency maintenance requirements.
• Working independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship, health and safety and customer care.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer, ideally at Senior Engineer level.
• Strong experience in fire alarm servicing, fault finding, repairs and commissioning.
• Good working knowledge of Advanced, Kentec, Morley and other fire alarm control panel systems.
• Broad technical knowledge across multiple manufacturers and system types.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of relevant fire alarm standards, including BS 5839, where applicable.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A professional, proactive and organised approach.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to participate in a call-out rota.

Relevant fire alarm qualifications, manufacturer training and industry certifications would be advantageous.
