Job summary

A leading facilities management company is seeking a Fire and Security Technician to oversee maintenance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations across designated stores. This permanent role offers a chance to work with various fire and security systems and requires both technical skills and flexibility in working hours.

Qualifications

  • Essential qualifications include GCSE standard and Electrical Competency Qualification.
  • Experience with fire alarm systems and CCTV is crucial.
  • Desirable to have a current driving licence and IPAF license.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintenance and repairs in accordance with KPI’s set by the customer.
  • Complete PPM works within agreed timescales and necessary paperwork accurately.
  • Undertake first call response to various fire and security systems.

Job description

Job Title: Fire and Security Technician


Location: Sunderland

Contract Type: Permanent

Working
Hours: 42.5 Hours Per Week

To be the technical specialist for designated stores responsible for undertaking first call response to Fire, CCTV, EAS, Access Control, PA, Automatic Pedestrian Gates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To undertake maintenance and repairs in accordance with KPI’s set by the customer including, but not limited to response, repair, first fix, and closure.
  • To ensure all planned, reactive and statutory works designated to a CCTV engineer is carried out in accordance with contractual obligations as set out in the City FM Bookcase.
  • To complete the PPM works within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures and satisfactory standards.

Qualifications / Experience:

Essential

  • GCSE standard
  • Electrical Competency Qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds)
  • Fire alarm systems experience

The ideal candidate

  • Experience with CCTV IP/analogue systems
  • Current driving licence
  • IPAF license holder
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
