4way Recruitment is seeking a Fire & Security Technician for roles across Essex and surrounding areas. The role offers £38,000–£40,000 basic salary with overtime opportunities, paid travel after the first 30 minutes each way, private healthcare, and a fully equipped company vehicle.

You will service and fault-find across Fire & Security systems with a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and delivering high-quality client service in a dynamic field service environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Fire & Security industry.
• Electrical qualification or equivalent.
• Driving licence held.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and fault-finding across a range of Fire & Security systems.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance visits in line with client requirements.
• Attend reactive breakdowns and service requests within agreed response times.
• Diagnose system faults and implement effective repair solutions.
• Identify equipment requiring replacement or further remedial works.
• Accurately complete service documentation and compliance records.
• Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with relevant industry standards.
• Maintain a high level of customer service while working on client sites.

Key Responsibilities - Fire & Security Technician

Skills & Experience - Fire & Security Technician

• Previous experience working within the Fire & Security industry
• Relevant educational qualifications or equivalent industry experience
• Electrical qualification such as NVQ, City & Guilds or similar
• Previous experience working on CCTV systems, including networked and traditional platforms
• Knowledge of fire detection and alarm systems
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
• Desirable: IPAF certification (training can be provided)
• Full UK Driving Licence
