Job summary

Get Staff is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to join its North East team. The role covers Newcastle, Durham, Stockton-on-Tees and surrounding areas, performing service and maintenance on fire alarms, CCTV and access control.

You will travel across the region, complete PPMs and reactive maintenance, and build professional relationships with customers while upholding safety standards. A full UK driving licence is essential and a company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• Experienced in servicing fire and security systems.
• Comfortable fault-finding on site and reporting.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control.
• Attend reactive maintenance and fault-finding visits and repair faults.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and routine servicing.
• Work across commercial, industrial and residential sites.
• Travel within the North East and surrounding areas.
• Prepare service reports and documentation.

Fire & Security Service Engineer – £30,000–£40,000 – North East- OTE £50,000- £60,000

• £30,000 – £40,000 basic salary, depending on experience
• £50,000 – £60,000 realistic earning potential including overtime & travel time
• Door-to-door travel paid

This is a regional Fire & Security Service Engineer position covering areas including Newcastle, Durham, Stockton-on-Tees and surrounding areas.

Fire & Security Service Engineer – Role & Responsibilities

• Service and maintain fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems.
• Attend reactive maintenance and fault-finding visits, diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine servicing.
• Work across commercial, industrial and residential sites.
• Travel throughout the North East, including Newcastle, Durham, Stockton-on-Tees and surrounding areas.
• Complete service reports and relevant job documentation.
• Provide a professional service to customers and represent the company positively on site.
• Work independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship, health & safety and compliance.

Fire & Security Service Engineer – Experience & Skills Required

• The successful Fire & Security Service Engineer will ideally have experience working across a range of fire and security systems.
• Experience with some of the following manufacturers and systems would be advantageous:Galaxy, Texecom, Scantronic, Menvier, Advanced, Kentec, Ziton, C-TEC, Hikvision, Paxton and other similar fire and security systems
• You should be comfortable working independently, fault-finding on site and dealing professionally with customers.
• A full UK driving licence or equivalent is required for this position.
