Job summary

Touchstar Technologies Limited is seeking a Fire and Security Engineer for our North West region. The role requires 6+ years in fire alarms and security systems, with driving licence and ECS/IPAF credentials. You will install, commission and maintain systems, provide expert advice on fire safety, and participate in a callout rota.

The position is full-time and site-based in Manchester, offering strong technical growth and a focus on customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in fire alarms and security systems.
• Driving licence is required and ECS card held.
• Experience in maintenance and installation work.
• IPAF training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission fire and security systems to British standards.
• Perform maintenance to BS5839 and NSI Gold standards.
• Conduct high-level fault finding on safety systems.
• Advise the sales team on fire safety regulations and standards.
• Be part of the callout rota and respond as needed.

Job description

We are looking for a Fire and security Engineer to join our team in our North West region. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 years experience in fire alarms as well as knowledge of security systems (Access Control, CCTV, Intruder) in accordance with industry standards and regulations as they will be responsible for maintenance and installing small works, of both.

The Engineer will also be responsible for, providing technical advice on fire safety and security to the sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a commitment to providing the highest level of service for our customers. The preferred candent will be able to work alone and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Undertake installation and commissioning of fire and security systems to British standards.
• Undertake maintenance, of fire and security systems to BS5839 and NSI Gold standards.
• To undertake a high level of fault finding on fire safety systems.
• Provide advice on fire safety regulations and standards to the sales team.
• Be part of a callout router.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £38,000 per year

• Overtime -x1.5 after 8 hours on site Monday to Friday & Saturday
