Job summary

Touchstar Technologies Limited in Bolton is seeking a Fire and Security Engineer with at least 6 years of hands-on fire alarm experience and knowledge of access control, CCTV and intruder systems to install, commission and maintain installations in a fast-paced North West region.

The role requires working on site, with a Monday to Friday schedule and on-call rotation, ensuring compliance with BS5839 and NSI Gold. A valid driving licence and IPaf/ECS credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Fire alarms experience 6+ years required.
• Security alarm experience 6+ years required.
• Valid driving licence required.
• Maintenance of fire and security systems experience.
• ECS Card and IPAF certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission fire and security systems to British standards.
• Maintenance of fire and security systems to BS5839 and NSI Gold standards.
• Perform high-level fault finding on fire safety systems.
• Advise on fire safety regulations and standards to the sales team.
• Be part of a callout router.

Job description

We are looking for a Fire and security Engineer to join our team in our North West region. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 years experience in fire alarms as well as knowledge of security systems (Access Control, CCTV, Intruder) in accordance with industry standards and regulations as they will be responsible for maintenance and installing small works, of both.

The Engineer will also be responsible for, providing technical advice on fire safety and security to the sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a commitment to providing the highest level of service for our customers. The preferred candent will be able to work alone and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake installation and commissioning of fire and security systems to British standards.
• Undertake maintenance, of fire and security systems to BS5839 and NSI Gold standards.
• To undertake a high level of fault finding on fire safety systems.
• Provide advice on fire safety regulations and standards to the sales team.
• Be part of a callout router.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £38,000 per year

• Monday to Friday 8-hour days on site
• Overtime -x1.5 after 8 hours on site Monday to Friday & Saturday
• x2 From midday Saturday through Sunday.
• X2 After midnight Monday- Friday
• Travel time -Single time after 15 minutes of traveling to and from site

Education:

• A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
