Job summary

The JobsBoard is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to service, maintain and fault-find fire alarm systems across Central London sites. This field-based role includes a company van and fuel card, with daily travel to client sites and a 07:00–16:30 schedule.

You will hold a Full UK driving licence and have proven experience with BS 5839, delivering accurate service reports and compliant documentation while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience servicing fire alarm systems.
• Strong fault-finding skills.
• Good knowledge of BS 5839.

About the Role

Working for a growing family run business, you will be responsible for carrying out fire alarm servicing, maintenance, and fault finding across multiple Central London sites.

You will work Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 16:30. This role is field based, with daily travel to client sites. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided for work use only.

Primary Responsibilities

• Service and maintain fire alarm systems (BS 5839)
• Fault finding and reactive repairs
• Identify system issues, coverage gaps, and recommend improvements
• Complete service reports and compliance documentation

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence required
• Proven experience servicing fire alarm systems
• Strong fault-finding skills
• Good knowledge of BS 5839
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and customer-facing skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your daily schedule
