ARC Group in Norwich is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to service, maintain, test and repair fire alarm and life-safety systems across customer sites. The role requires delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate has prior experience with fire alarm systems, strong fault-finding skills, and a full UK driving licence. This full-time, permanent position offers ongoing training and a supportive engineering team.

  • Liaise with customers and explain faults or remedial works.
  • Work independently while communicating with the engineering team.
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

Fire Alarm Service Engineer

Salary: £39,520 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week

Employment: Full-time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join a growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, testing and repairing a range of fire alarm and life-safety systems across customer sites.

The role will suit an experienced engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and servicing of fire alarm systems.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and professionally.
  • Undertake testing, inspection and commissioning of fire alarm equipment.
  • Complete service reports and relevant documentation accurately.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with current industry standards and legislation.
  • Liaise professionally with customers and provide clear explanations of any faults or remedial works required.
  • Work independently while maintaining close communication with the wider engineering team.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • A good understanding of relevant fire alarm standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage a busy schedule.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Relevant industry qualifications or manufacturer training would be advantageous.
