Job summary

Futurebuild Recruitment is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join a growing team working on data centre and critical infrastructure contracts across London and surrounding counties.

The role focuses on servicing, maintenance, fault finding and testing fire alarm systems, with direct interaction with clients and site teams to keep systems compliant and reliable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm and detection systems.
• Experience servicing, maintenance and fault finding.
• Experience on commercial, critical infrastructure or data centre projects is highly desirable.
• Good understanding of relevant fire alarm standards and regulations.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance of fire alarm and detection systems.
• Reactive fault finding and repairs.
• Testing and commissioning of fire alarm systems.
• Identifying faults and providing technical solutions.

Fire Alarm Service Engineer

Location: London & Surrounding Counties

Salary: Up to £48,000 + Door-to-Door Travel + Company Vehicle + Bonus

Sector: Data Centres / Critical Infrastructure

Our client is looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join their growing team, working on a portfolio of data centre and critical infrastructure contracts across London and the surrounding counties.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Fire Alarm Engineer with strong service and maintenance experience who is looking to work on technically demanding sites and develop their career within the data centre sector.

The Role

As a Fire Alarm Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault finding and testing fire alarm and detection systems across a range of data centre environments.

You will be working directly with clients and site teams to ensure fire alarm systems remain fully operational, compliant and reliable.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planned preventative maintenance of fire alarm and detection systems
• Reactive fault finding and repairs
• Testing and commissioning of fire alarm systems
• Identifying faults and providing technical solutions
• Completing service reports and maintenance documentation
• Working alongside clients, site teams and other engineers
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with relevant standards and procedures
• Working across data centre sites throughout London and surrounding counties

Experience Required

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm and detection systems
• Experience carrying out servicing, maintenance and fault finding
• Experience working on commercial, critical infrastructure or data centre projects is highly desirable
• Good understanding of relevant fire alarm standards and regulations
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

Experience with manufacturers such as Gent, Advanced, Notifier, Morley, Hochiki, Kentec, C-TEC or similar would be beneficial.
