Job summary

GET Staff is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Engineer to cover the Banbury area. The role includes servicing, maintenance and repairs of Fire Alarm systems, Emergency Lighting, and AOVs, with full technical training provided to develop specialist skills.

You will operate as a field-based engineer, delivering excellent customer service across commercial, residential and industrial sites while managing daily workloads efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in servicing and maintenance of Fire Alarm systems and Emergency Lighting.
• Knowledge of BS 5839 standards.
• Willingness to undergo specialist training on complex AOV systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing, fault-finding and reactive repairs.
• Work across Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting and AOV systems.
• Manage your own day efficiently as a field-based engineer.
• Provide excellent customer service across commercial, residential and industrial sites.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in the servicing and maintenance of Fire Alarm systems and Emergency Lighting.
• Knowledge of British Standards (BS 5839).
• A willingness to learn—full specialist training on complex AOV systems will be provided.
• A valid UK Driving Licence.
• Ideally based around the Banbury area, though anyone perfectly placed to cover the M40 corridor will be highly considered.
