Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Fire Alarm Installation Engineer to join our team at Manchester Airport. This role involves installing, commissioning, and maintaining fire alarm systems and associated equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and client requirements.

Responsibilities

1. The installation and commissioning of Fire Alarm and associated equipment at Manchester Airport, including new systems and system upgrades.
2. Maintaining knowledge of electrical circuits and measuring devices; undertaking training as necessary.
3. Installing cable management systems such as trays and trunking.
4. Adhering to all Health and Safety guidelines to ensure safety for yourself and others.
5. Maintaining a clean working environment and respecting client premises.
6. Acting as a Company Ambassador by maintaining a professional appearance and communication style to foster customer relationships.
7. Using hand and powered tools safely and appropriately.
8. Performing any other duties relevant to the role.

Person Specification

Qualifications: A full electrical-based qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ, ONC, HNC, etc. (Desirable)

Experience: Experience in the Fire Alarm sector and a working knowledge of electrical circuits and measuring devices (Essential). Familiarity with safe working practices and Health & Safety requirements (Desirable).

Skills & Abilities: Excellent customer service, proficiency with technology, good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team (Essential).

Other: Genuine interest and enthusiasm for the work, a willingness to learn, and a full, valid driving license (Essential).
