Job summary

Approach Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join a leading fire safety contractor on a permanent basis. You will cover a diverse range of premises, including offices, council buildings, retail, care facilities, education, industrial sites and public venues.

The role offers a basic salary of £40,000 with an OTE of up to £10,000, a personal company van and equipment, and a private pension.

Qualifications

• Experience with Conventional, Addressable, Wireless, and Specialist fire alarm systems.
• Strong fault-finding, servicing and installation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt emergency service calls, demonstrating technical problem-solving capabilities.
• Maintain fire systems to current British Standards (BS5839 for Fire Alarms, BS5306 for Extinguishers, BS7671 for Emergency Lighting) and customer requirements.
• Effectively communicate with customers to ensure understanding of work carried out.
• Manage and secure your own equipment stock efficiently and economically.
