Job summary

Get Staff is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join a permanent, full-time team across North London. You will be responsible for installation, testing, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of fire alarm systems, smoke detection and emergency lighting.

The ideal candidate will diagnose faults, provide on-site support to customers, and ensure systems remain safe, compliant and fully operational. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer or in a similar role.
Knowledge of fire alarm installation, servicing, testing and fault-finding.
Understanding of BS 5839 and fire safety regulations.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
On-site customer interaction and reporting.

Responsibilities

Install, test and ideally commission fire alarm systems in line with relevant standards.
Carry out servicing and maintenance of fire alarms, smoke detection and emergency lighting.
Diagnose faults, undertake repairs and ensure systems remain operational and compliant.
Complete clear and accurate service reports and commissioning documentation.
Provide professional technical support to customers while maintaining health and safety.
