Job summary

Northcote is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer for London and surrounding areas. The role focuses on small works, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of fire alarm systems across sites.

We require 3+ years in the field, strong BS 5839 knowledge, and a valid UK driving licence with ECS/CSCS cards. This is a full-time position offering £50,000 per annum and a structured day schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of BS 5839 and other relevant standards.
• Competent in installing and commissioning fire alarm systems.
• Strong fault-finding and servicing skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Valid ECS/CSCS card.
• Own hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Installing, second fixing and commissioning fire alarm systems.
• Carrying out planned servicing and maintenance.
• Fault finding, diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently.
• Ensuring systems are installed, commissioned and maintained to the highest standards.
• Ensuring all work complies with BS 5839, current fire safety regulations and company procedures.
• Completing works professionally and providing a high standard of service to clients.
