Job summary

Get Staff is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Engineer to service and maintain systems across Home Counties and London. This field-based role involves travelling to Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and London with potential wider travel.

You will diagnose faults, perform remedial works, and attend reactive call-outs, working independently with strong fault-finding skills. Enthusiasm for travel and customer-focused service is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working independently within fire alarm engineering.
• Competent engineer who can attend sites without supervision.
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills.
• Experience with emergency lighting is highly desirable.
• Genuine experience in fire alarm field engineering is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
• Diagnose faults and carry out remedial works.
• Attend reactive call-outs and resolve issues efficiently.
• Work across a wide range of manufacturers and systems.
• Identify additional works and opportunities for customers where appropriate.
• Most journeys completed within the same day, with occasional overnight stays.
• Travel is a significant part of the role.
