Job summary

NMS Recruit Ltd is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to cover live healthcare, mental health, commercial and other occupied environments across the North West, including inpatient and secure settings.

You will be responsible for ensuring fire alarm systems are installed, maintained, tested and repaired to required standards, whilst providing a high level of customer service and ensuring all works are documented accurately. DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with fire alarm systems across healthcare and regulated environments.
• Ability to carry out PPM, reactive maintenance and repairs.
• Knowledge of relevant fire alarm standards and legislation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine servicing of fire alarm systems.
• Attend reactive maintenance and emergency breakdowns and diagnose faults efficiently.
• Carry out fault finding, repairs and component replacement on fire alarm systems.
• Undertake testing and inspection in accordance with relevant legislation, standards and manufacturer requirements.
• Complete fire alarm testing, servicing and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Identify defects, remedial requirements and potential compliance issues and report these appropriately.
• Carry out installation, modification and commissioning works where required.
• Liaise professionally with clients, site teams, clinical staff and other contractors.
