MJ Health Ltd is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to install, service and maintain fire alarm systems across diverse sites in the North West. You will diagnose faults, complete reports, and ensure compliance with BS 5839 and health & safety standards.

The role requires independent work, strong customer communication, and IT reporting. A full UK driving licence and FIA units are preferred, with company vehicle and ongoing training provided.

Formación

• Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer (installation and servicing).
• Good knowledge of fire alarm regulations and British Standards.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• IT literacy for reporting and documentation.

Responsabilidades

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fire Alarm Engineer to carry out the installation, servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding of fire alarm systems across the North West. The role involves working across commercial, industrial, and residential sites, ensuring all systems comply with current regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain fire alarm systems in line with BS 5839 standards
• Service and maintain existing fire alarm systems
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs
• Complete accurate service reports, certificates, and documentation
• Liaise professionally with clients, site managers, and other engineers
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with health & safety regulations
• Participate in an on-call rota where required
• Manage tools, equipment, and company vehicle responsibly

Systems Experience (Desirable)

• Conventional and addressable fire alarm systems
• Knowledge of manufacturers such as Gent, Apollo, Advanced, Notifier, C-Tec, or similar
• Basic understanding of emergency lighting (advantageous but not essential)
