Job summary

UL Solutions in the United Kingdom seeks an Engineer for IID&FACP Services to manage certification testing and performance evaluations of fire alarm control panels, detectors, sounders, and related devices.

You will coordinate with global laboratories, plan tests, prepare technical reports for clients, and travel up to 25% to customer sites or external labs while maintaining thorough documentation and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree required, at least a Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with certification processes is advantageous.
• Project work and PM skills (time management, Gantt, etc.)
• Ability to quickly familiarize with unfamiliar topics and maintain meticulous work.
• Strong presentation skills with customers and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and coordinate with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Question and assess all requests to determine relevance throughout the project.
• Determine necessary steps so Sales can offer these to customers.
• Plan precisely; regular reports to management are expected.
• Coordinate with worldwide laboratories for required tests.
• Own deadlines; keep structure and order in project execution.
• Travel to customer sites or external labs to conduct tests on-site.
• Ensure complete, up-to-date, and accurate documentation for audits.
• Support management during audits with data revision and process improvements.
• Network with customers to provide best possible service.
