Job summary

mthree is partnering with a tier-one global investment bank in London to build core accounting systems powering PnL and Balance Sheet reporting for Secured Funding Transactions.

You will work across the full technology stack—from Java/Scala on Spark to UI delivery—collaborating with project managers and Finance clients throughout the development lifecycle. This is a permanent, salaried consultant position with a clear path to permanent headcount.

Qualifications

• Hands-on coding in Java, Scala and Python with Spark framework.
• Good understanding of databases, Unix, and Git (or similar version control).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with interest in finance, business and data analysis.
• Good communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of Agile, DevOps and sound software engineering principles.
• Scripting knowledge (Python, Shell or Perl).

Responsibilities

• Build Core Accounting Systems: Design and develop accounting and reporting solutions for PnL and Balance Sheet across Secured Funding Transactions.
• Engineer Across the Stack: Deliver end-to-end using Java, Scala and Python on Spark, extending into UI technologies.
• Translate Finance Logic to Tech: Work with PnL controllers and Finance stakeholders to convert requirements into clean code.
