Job summary

Aquis Exchange PLC in London is seeking a DevOps Engineer to strengthen its growing fintech infrastructure. You’ll be hands-on from day one in a small team, automating on-prem systems and shaping deployment pipelines.

The role offers exposure to Kubernetes/OpenShift, Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab, with a mix of office and remote days and a requirement to be in the London area a minimum of 3 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in Linux systems administration (RedHat/CentOS or similar).
• Scripting and automation with Bash and Python; Ansible/Terraform a strong plus.
• Git, CI/CD basics; hands-on experience with GitLab is ideal.
• Working knowledge of core networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, load balancing).
• Exposure to containers (Docker); Kubernetes/OpenShift is a plus.
• Personal projects welcome; clear, pragmatic communication.

Responsibilities

• Help build and automate on‑prem infrastructure using Terraform, with focus on container platforms and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Contribute to automation across containerised and on‑prem environments using Ansible, Python, and tooling.
• Collaborate with Development and Infrastructure to deliver new technologies into production with GitOps patterns.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute viewpoints.
• Support build pipelines, CI/CD systems and developer tooling.
• Work with Linux systems at scale across containerised and virtualised environments.
• Assist capacity planning and keep container platforms scalable across environments.
• Write and maintain clear documentation as part of the role.
