Octopus Money is hiring a DevOps Engineer to own and evolve the AWS platform that our customer-facing products run on. The platform is defined entirely as code across a multi-tenant Terraform monorepo, orchestrated with Terramate, spanning dev, staging and production accounts.

You will join a small platform team and take shared ownership of networking, IAM, container services, databases, observability, and CI/CD pipelines that ship it all.

Qualifications

• Three or more years running production infrastructure on AWS.
• Strong Terraform: reusable modules, state and provider lifecycles.
• Depth in IAM: trust policies, OIDC federation, permission boundaries.
• Experience running containers in production, ideally ECS.
• Solid CI/CD practice with GitHub Actions or similar.
• Operational grounding in relational and NoSQL databases.
• Security-first habit with least privilege and secret management.
• Experience with ISO 27001 or SOC 2 programmes.

Responsabilités

• Design, build and maintain reusable Terraform modules for AWS services and wire them into per-tenant Terramate stacks.
• Onboard new backend services onto the ECS platform with proper IAM roles, load balancers and DNS.
• Own the change pipeline using GitHub Actions and Terramate per project/environment.
• Review infrastructure PRs for correctness and least-privilege access.
• Run and improve security tooling (GuardDuty, Security Hub, IAM Access Analyzer, CloudTrail).
• Build and tune observability with CloudWatch dashboards/alarms and New Relic alerts.
