Job summary

HSBC Innovation Banking in London seeks an experienced senior underwriter to lead the structuring, underwriting and closing of warehouse facilities for fintech clients across the UK and Europe. You will own credit analysis, cashflow modelling and deal structures end-to-end.

You will manage end-to-end processes with internal teams and external partners, drive due diligence and negotiate term sheets while building client and investor relationships in the fintech sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field; CFA or equivalent considered a plus.
• Strong experience with credit analysis, cashflow modelling and structuring asset-backed facilities.
• Proven ability to model cashflows, analyze collateral and negotiate terms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structuring, underwriting and closing of warehouse facilities for fintech clients in the UK and Europe, including credit papers and financial models.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (relationship management, credit, legal) and external partners to ensure successful outcomes.
• Manage the existing borrower portfolio and respond to changing client and portfolio dynamics.
• Provide oversight and guidance to deal teams on structuring, underwriting, closing and portfolio management.
• Build relationships with clients and investors in fintech and alternative lending sectors.
• Deliver insights on asset types and industries to demonstrate thought leadership.
