Job summary

Virgin Media O2 is seeking a FinOps Lead to steer cloud financial management across the Core Engineering function in Reading. This senior role champions cost transparency, value and accountability while partnering with Finance, Product and Engineering.

You will shape the FinOps operating model, drive cost optimisation, automate reporting and lead initiatives to reduce waste and improve unit economics across cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cloud financial management and FinOps.
• Hands-on with AWS, Azure or GCP and cost-optimisation know-how.
• Experience with cloud cost management tools (Cloudability, CloudHealth).
• Cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Product and Engineering.

We have a great new role for a FinOps Lead to join our Core Engineering function, this is a key leadership role spanning all cloud operations across CTO and CIO. You will be tasked on helping Virgin Media O2 become more intentional, transparent and sustainable in how we invest in cloud technology. As our FinOps Lead, you will be at the heart of driving a cost conscious culture, ensuring that value, efficiency and financial accountability are embedded into how we design, build and run our platforms. Working closely with Finance, Product and Engineering leaders, you will shape and mature our FinOps operating model across the business. You will lead initiatives that reduce waste, improve unit economics and automate financial reporting, while acting as a trusted advisor to teams across the organisation.
