Job summary

Tillo is seeking a Finance Operations Assistant/Credit Controller to join the busy Finance team in a hybrid role, based in the Hove area. You will manage accounts receivable, drive collections, and support reconciliations while helping to improve processes and controls across the function.

The role focuses on onboarding retailers, suppliers and customers, maintaining accurate invoicing, and collaborating with multiple teams to ensure efficient finance operations and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience with accounts receivable and ledgers.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements and automation.
• Strong reconciliation and reporting capabilities.
• Excellent communicator with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage credit control and collections, follow up on overdue balances and resolve queries.
• Collaborate with Operations to onboard retailers, suppliers and customers.
• Administer GoCardless collections and set up new customers; handle failed collections.
• Reduce overdue balances by coordinating with Account Management and Commercial teams.
• Lead credit control improvements and automation aligned with ERP upgrades.
• Work with the finance team to implement best practices for robust controls.
• Support weekly/monthly reconciliations and self-billing processes.
• Ensure accurate end-to-end invoicing and respond to queries promptly.
