An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Goods Inward Inspector within the defence sector.
The opportunity:
The Goods Inward Inspector is responsible for ensuring that goods received from suppliers meet the criteria of the purchase order and are compliant in all respects.
Responsibilities:
- Verify and accept procured products in line with contractual conditions.
- Read and understand assembly drawings.
- Inspect the finish of all parts for faults, surface deterioration, etc.
- Perform first article inspections.
- Produce relevant inspection and quality control documentation.
- Complete all paperwork related to delivered items.
- Ensure inspection service level agreements are met according to manufacturing demand.
- Segregate defective items and raise defect reports.
- Maintain product verification approval through regular audits, including PCB inspection.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing procedures.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and product quality.
- Contribute to a safe and orderly working environment.
Candidate requirements:
- Team player with customer focus and adaptability to work processes.
- Formal technical engineering or craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21, plus a Level 3 qualification (e.g., diploma).
- SAP literacy is desirable.
