Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Goods Inward Inspector within the defence sector.

The opportunity:

The role of the Goods Inwards Inspector is to ensure that goods received from suppliers meet the criteria of the purchase order and are compliant in all respects.

Responsibilities:

• Verify and accept procured products in line with contractual conditions.
• Read and understand assembly drawings.
• Examine the finish of all parts for faults, deterioration, or surface issues.
• Undertake first article inspections.
• Produce relevant inspection and quality control documentation.
• Check and complete all paperwork related to delivered items.
• Ensure inspection service level agreements are met according to manufacturing demand.
• Control defect items through segregation; raise and maintain defect reports.
• Maintain product verification approval process via audits; inspect PCBs.
• Ensure compliance with all manufacturing procedures.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and product quality.
• Contribute to a safe and organized working environment.

Candidate requirements:

• Team player with customer focus and adaptability.
• Technical engineering or craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21, plus a Level 3 qualification (e.g., diploma).
