Job summary

University College invites a Sous Chef to join a talented brigade, supporting the Head Chef in delivering fresh food to fellows, VIPs, staff and students. The role covers breakfast, lunch, dinner and high-end functions, with a 37.5 hour week and alternate weekends off.

You should bring banqueting experience and exposure to fine dining, be able to work unsupervised and as part of a team, and have a track record in busy all-fresh kitchen environments.

Qualifications

• Experience as sous chef in busy all fresh food kitchen.
• Experience in banqueting and high-end restaurant work.
• Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef in serving fresh food to fellows, VIPs, staff and students.
• Prepare meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner and functions.
• Run kitchen in Head Chef's absence.
