Job summary

Travail Employment Group is recruiting for a Finance Manager in Corby to lead the finance function, produce monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets, and deliver KPI reporting to support business performance. The role is site-based with a salary of £45,000 per annum, 36 days’ holiday, pension and parking.

You will manage a small finance team and liaise with external accountants, with some international travel expected.

Qualifications

• SME finance leadership experience with month-end, forecasting and budgeting.
• ACCA/AAT Level 4 or equivalent, or experience-based accounting qualification.
• Experience with statutory accounts and liaising with auditors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day finance function.
• Produce monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets.
• Deliver financial analysis and KPI reporting to support performance.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital needs.
• Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll and credit control.
• Prepare statutory accounts and liaise with external accountants/auditors.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting.
• Support commercial decision-making with robust modelling/analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and efficiencies.
• Partner with operations to drive profitability and cost control.
• Manage year-end processes and support strategic planning.
• Lead and develop a small Finance Team.
• Provide operational support to the business and management team.
• Some international travel will be required.

Finance Manager

Due to continued success, a head office location of a niche supply chain global organisation has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join them. You will provide key operational and financial support across the business:

• Lead and manage the day‑to‑day finance function.


• Produce monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets.


• Deliver meaningful financial analysis and KPI reporting to support business performance.


• Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital requirements.


• Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll, and credit control activities.


• Prepare statutory accounts and liaise with external accountants and auditors.


• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements.


• Support commercial decision-making through robust financial modelling and analysis.


• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and efficiencies.


• Partner with operational departments to drive profitability and cost control.


• Manage year‑end processes and support strategic business planning.


• Motivate, lead and manage a small Finance Team.


• Provide operational support to business and management team as and when required.


• Some international travel will be required.

We would expect the successful Finance Manager to be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of the finance function for a SME business, be an excellent communicator and have a friendly confident manner. You will be supported 1 to 1 to become familiar with the company processes and procedures. This would be an ideal role for you if you have worked within Accounts Management, Financial Controller or a Operational Finance Manager position.

You will be joining a Corby Head Office of a an international company that is established with an enviable reputation in their specialist field. Working directly with the Finance Director and SMT, this role offers variety on a daily basis.
