Job summary

Grafton Banks Finance Limited is recruiting a Financial Reporting Manager on an initial contract basis for an SME manufacturing group near Littlehampton. You will report to the Finance Director and support the finance team in delivering accurate reporting on time.

The role requires IFRS expertise, strong Excel skills and professional qualifications (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). It is office-based, five days a week, with some flexibilities and short-notice availability for start.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and experience in consolidations.
• Advanced Excel skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts under IFRS, including eliminations and IFRS16 journal postings.
• Contribute to monthly Board reporting pack with analysis and commentary.
• Prepare interim and annual IFRS financial statements with disclosure compliance.
• Act as contact for external auditors, coordinating deliverables and supporting schedules.
• Prepare covenant compliance reporting and Group cash flow statements.
• Develop and enhance reporting processes, including covenant model and end-year templates.
• Maintain and update the Group's share-based payment accounting model and supporting database.
• Produce monthly management accounts and reporting packs for senior management.
• Drive financial control across the business by strengthening processes, controls and governance.

Job description

Grafton Banks Finance are working with an SME Manufacturing company with offices on the outskirts of Littlehampton to recruit a Financial Reporting Manager on an initial contract basis. Reporting into the finance Director and working within a friendly team you will be responsible for ensuring the business meets all the financial reporting deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

• Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts under IFRS, including consolidation adjustments, eliminations, IFRS16 and other journal postings
• Contribute to the preparation of the monthly Board reporting pack, providing supporting analysis and commentary.
• Prepare the Group's interim and annual financial statements under IFRS, ensuring compliance with applicable reporting and disclosure requirements.
• Act as key contact for external auditors, coordinating audit deliverables and preparing supporting schedules and technical documentation.
• Prepare quarterly and annual covenant compliance reporting and Group cash flow statements to support external financing arrangements.
• Develop and enhance financial reporting processes, including a covenant compliance model, year-end supplemental reporting templates.
• Maintain and update the Group's share-based payment accounting model and supporting database.
• Produce monthly management accounts and reporting packs for the senior management team.
• Drive financial control across the business by strengthening processes, controls and governance.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with core experience of Financial Reporting and Management. Advanced Excel skills are essential alongside being an expert in IFRS. Due to the initial contract nature of this job opportunity you will need to be available at short notice. This role is working in office 5 days a week with some flexibilities.
