  • Production of consolidated annual financial accounting statements for all European entities, and submission to the US parent according to US GAAP

  • Provision of financial accounting support across the UK-based group functions, such as accounting position papers and informing on complex financial reporting issues
  • Management of monthly financial reporting for the UK business, including review and analysis
  • Implementation of new controls and governance procedures as appropriate, in line with new US GAAP, UK GAAP and European GAAP regulations
  • Business partnering the financial leadership team and senior leadership team as required, to communicate financial position and support business cases to improve performance
  • Continuous improvement of financial reporting systems and processes to streamline reporting practices and improve results
  • Working with local tax advisors to ensure that tax reporting is submitted accurately and on a timely basis relevant to each region's requirements
  • Ad hoc project support work to assist the group's ongoing development plans

The ideal candidate for this role will be an ICAEW/ICAS qualified accountant making their first move into industry from Big 4 or Top 10 audit firms. Those who are qualified in industry with relevant experience will also be considered for the role. You'll need to have a couple of years' post-qualification experience and be at least Assistant Manager or Manager for this role.

We're looking for challengers who thrive in dynamic and ever-changing environments. The most technically-strong candidates aren't always the best for this business: it's about the right personalities who can help the business achieve its objectives and progress quickly.

If you're ambitious and intrigued about the idea of a unique business, this one is for you.
