A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented Financial Accounting Manager in the FMCG industry, based in Birmingham. This role requires a dedicated professional adept at financial reporting, forecasting, and team management.

Description

1. Prepare, analyse, and report monthly financial information, ensuring timely, accurate, complete, and compliant reporting.
2. Manage a team of finance professionals, fostering a supportive and professional working environment.
3. Ensure UK compliance with internal controls and maintain an appropriate risk management system covering all financial, legal, and tax implications.
4. Ensure accurate financial forecasting and budgeting processes.
5. Develop and implement financial control procedures.
6. Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
7. Manage UK tax compliance and governance activities, including VAT and Corporation Tax liabilities.
8. Liaise with the company's tax advisers and head office tax team. Develop processes for new legislation.
9. Liaise with stakeholders to present financial information and reports.
10. Identify opportunities for process improvements.
11. Support the company's strategic objectives through robust financial management.

Profile

1. ACA, CA, ACCA OR CIMA qualified
2. Practical experience in controlling/accounting/audit and IFRS/FRS 101
3. Critical thinker with analytical and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
4. SAP experience desirable
5. Strong communicator
6. High level of personal ownership and autonomy
7. Prioritisation to ensure all key deadlines are met
