Statutory Reporting Manager (Part-Time | Hybrid | 14-Month FTC)

Location: Derby (Hybrid – 1–2 days onsite per week)

The Opportunity

We're hiring a Statutory Reporting Manager to join a Financial Control team on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to senior stakeholders, contribute to complex statutory reporting processes, and influence improvements across a high-profile finance function.

This role supports the delivery of half-year and year-end Group financial statements, UK subsidiary accounts, and other external reporting requirements. It’s ideal for a qualified accountant with strong technical knowledge and experience managing audits, statutory accounts, and pensions reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Group and UK subsidiary statutory accounts in line with IFRS and UK listing rules
• Liaise with external auditors on technical queries and manage the audit lifecycle
• Coordinate input from multiple business units for consolidated financial statements
• Support preparation of financial disclosures and compliance with new accounting standards
• Handle pensions reporting under IAS 19 with support from external advisors
• Deliver high-quality forecast submissions (3-month actuals, 9-month forecasts)
• Drive process improvements, spreadsheet controls, and statutory compliance
• Contribute to governance, M&A reporting activities, and internal reporting projects

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) – part-qualified/QBE considered with strong experience
• Solid background in statutory reporting for large and/or listed companies
• Confident preparing group and subsidiary accounts
• Experience working with external auditors and leading audit processes
• Familiar with HFM (Hyperion) and ideally SAP
• Exposure to pensions reporting and IFRS
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple stakeholders
