Job summary

VWFS is offering an undergraduate placement in Regulatory Reporting based in Milton Keynes. You will support the delivery of regulatory reporting across VWFS UK and VW Bank UK, gaining hands‑on experience in accurate reporting, stakeholder management and process improvement.

The role involves preparing regulatory reports, assisting with submissions to BoE/ FCA/ ONS, and contributing to projects while building cross‑team relationships. Hybrid work policy applies, with 3 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Working towards an Accountancy & Finance or Economics related degree or qualification.
• Intermediate Excel skills and competent use of Microsoft Office products.
• Strong attention to detail, focus on accuracy and statistical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexibly under pressure, manage workload independently and deliver to strict deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with confidence collaborating internally, externally and across different business levels.
• Some knowledge of accounting systems, databases, balance sheet reconciliations or controls would be advantageous.
• Self-motivated, a strong team player and open to new challenges, change and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the preparation of VWFS UK Ltd. and VW Bank UK Branch regulatory reports for submission to HQ, including liquidity, solvency, exposures and deposit guarantee reporting.
• Support regulatory and statutory submissions to the Bank of England, Financial Conduct Authority and Office of National Statistics.
• Assist with regulatory projects, data quality reviews, CONNECT database logging and tactical/manual solutions while processes are automated.
• Support activity linked to the establishment of VW Savings Bank (UK) Ltd, including regulatory requirements, reporting software and data enhancements.
• Build productive relationships with internal colleagues, HQ colleagues and wider teams to help resolve queries and gather accounting information.
• Get involved in balance sheet reconciliations, internal and external audits, ad-hoc investigations and wider reporting team support.

About The Role

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: £23,915.49

Contract: 12-13months FTC Start dates are usually in June/July

Hybrid working: We want you to get the best out of your placement, so we operate a hybrid policy where undergraduates work in the office 3 days per week. There may be times where you will need to be in more frequently depending on the needs of the business.

Are you detail-focused, analytical, and interested in the world of finance and regulation? We’re looking for an undergraduate to join our Finance team as a Regulatory Reporting Undergraduate.
