This is a newly created FP&A Manager role for a private equity-backed manufacturing business based in Greater Manchester.
This £80M turnover, high-margin bespoke manufacturer has a UK-wide reputation for best-in-class products. The role has been created following recent private equity investment and a refinance. You will manage a small team and report to the CFO, leading a transformation project focusing on data, analysis, and world-class business partnering to ensure real-time financial insight into profitability and ROI across all business areas.
You will act as the commercial right arm to the CFO and the board. The transformation will require significant effort but is expected to substantially improve EBITDA, making this a business-critical appointment. You will gain exposure to a further refinance and a potential exit in 3-5 years. If you are an ambitious FP&A professional (Manager, Head of, or Director) aiming to become a PE CFO within 3-5 years, this role offers valuable experience and knowledge for that transition, whether within this business or another.
Requirements include being a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with substantial FP&A experience. You should be proficient in generating and interpreting financial data and capable of communicating insights to stakeholders with varying financial understanding, including the MD, CEO, COO, and the board. Expertise in Power BI and Excel is essential.
