FP&A Controller (Healthcare)
Location: Central London (Hybrid Working - 3 days in the office)
My client, within the Healthcare Industry, is seeking an FP&A Business Partner to bridge finance and Care Groups. This key role owns the financial plan and forecast for the Care Group.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing the Care Group P&L to optimize financial performance.
- Delivering P&L Plan/Forecast inputs and sensitivities, ensuring assumption integrity and buy-in from management.
- Serving as the financial contact for the Care Group, providing business partnering, financial input, and screening business cases.
- Strategically assessing long-term service models, communicating risks and opportunities, and proposing strategies.
- Building trusted relationships with senior leadership to support sound financial decisions.
- Providing insightful commentary aligned with month-end and quarterly forecasts.
- Collaborating with central FP&A and clinical teams on staffing controls and compliance.
- Managing the Establishment Model for staffing, challenging resource requests, and monitoring variances.
- Working with Procurement to identify supply efficiencies.
- Leading profitability analysis and implementing changes to optimize profit margins.
- Conducting competitor benchmarking when possible.
- Performing ad hoc analyses to support financial excellence.
Required Experience:
- Proven track record of driving financial improvements.
- Financial ownership of a P&L or segments thereof.
- Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills, comfortable discussing financials with non-financial audiences, especially clinicians.
- Healthcare experience (preferred).
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification with at least 4 years post-qualification experience.
- Degree 2:2 or higher.
- Advanced Excel, Power BI skills, and an interest in automation for analysis.
