Job summary

Broster Buchanan is seeking an FP&A Analyst in Northampton, offering a hybrid work arrangement. The role provides exposure across FP&A, commercial analysis, strategic modelling and M&A, with senior stakeholder interaction and a path toward greater strategic responsibility.

You will partner with Finance leadership and Business Partners to deliver insightful financial planning and performance analysis, with strong modelling and reporting at the core of the role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate budgets, forecasts and long‑term financial plans.
• Analyse performance against budget, forecast and prior year.
• Prepare monthly Board reporting and provide clear commercial commentary.
• Build financial models, scenarios and sensitivity analysis.
• Support strategic planning and modelling across the business.
• Work closely with the M&A team on acquisitions and financial due diligence.
• Support post‑acquisition analysis and incorporate acquisitions into forecasts.
• Develop and improve management reporting and financial models.
• Use Excel and data visualisation tools to turn financial information into meaningful commercial insight.
• Identify risks, opportunities and key drivers within the financial outlook.

I’m working with a growing, multi-site business in Northampton who are looking to appoint an FP&A Analyst into their Commercial Finance team.

This is a broad role offering exposure across FP&A, commercial analysis, strategic modelling and M&A. It would suit someone looking to develop their career within a commercially focused finance environment and take on greater exposure to senior stakeholders and strategic decision-making.

The Role:

You’ll work closely with senior Finance leadership, Finance Business Partners and the wider business, providing analysis and insight to support financial planning and business performance.

About you:

• Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders
