Job summary

The Consultancy Group (London) is seeking a Finance Analyst (FP&A) in central London with hybrid working (2 days in office). You will support planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and business partnering across international units, gaining exposure to senior stakeholders.

Ideal candidate has 1–3 years FP&A or financial analysis experience, studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA, strong Excel and experience with planning/reporting systems.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of FP&A, commercial finance or financial analysis experience.
• Studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualifications.
• Strong Excel skills with large data sets.

Finance Analyst (FP&A)

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded Finance Analyst to join a high-growth international business. Reporting into the FP&A team, this role offers exposure across commercial finance, financial planning, analysis, reporting, and business partnering.

This is a fantastic position for a part-qualified accountant looking to develop their FP&A skillset within a fast-paced, data-driven environment, while working closely with senior stakeholders across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities

Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

• Support the consolidation of budgets and forecasts across international business units.
• Assist with the preparation of financial reporting packs for senior leadership.
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather financial and operational data.
• Provide analysis and insights to support planning and decision-making processes.

Reporting & Analysis

• Monitor monthly performance against budget, forecast and prior year results.
• Produce regular financial and commercial reports, highlighting key variances and trends.
• Support the preparation of management and board reporting.
• Analyse revenue, margin and profitability performance across business areas.

Business Partnering

• Collaborate with finance and operational teams to evaluate business performance.
• Deliver meaningful insights into revenue, costs, profitability and operational drivers.
• Support stakeholders with ad hoc analysis and recommendations.
• Identify risks and opportunities to improve financial performance.

Process Improvement

• Support ongoing finance transformation and automation initiatives.
• Improve reporting efficiency and forecasting accuracy through data analysis and modelling.
• Contribute to process standardisation and continuous improvement projects.
• Help develop more effective financial reporting and planning tools.

About You

Experience & Qualifications

• 1-3 years' experience within FP&A, commercial finance or financial analysis.
• Studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualifications.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyse large datasets.
• Experience using planning or reporting systems would be advantageous.
