Responsibilities

• Arrange and negotiate placements for D&O, Crime and related Financial Institutions PI cover.
• Understand clients' businesses, risk exposures and insurance requirements; translate into market submissions.
• Approach insurers, obtain quotations and negotiate coverage, pricing and terms.
• Review quotations and policy wordings, identify exclusions and conditions.
• Present suitable options and explain scope and limitations of cover.
• Manage renewals, new business placements and mid-term adjustments within timescales.
• Maintain relationships with clients, insurers and market partners.
• Prepare and check placement documentation with clear instructions.

Here at Guest Krieger, part of PIB Group we provide a vital independent service for our direct clients, our network of producers and local insurance companies who require access to the London market and are on the look out for a Financial Line Broker to join our team.

The role requires you to deliver specialist financial lines broking services, supporting clients with the placement and renewal of insurance programmes. Build strong relationships with clients and insurers, negotiate appropriate terms and provide a responsive, professional service throughout the insurance lifecycle.

What you’ll be doing:

• Arrange and negotiate placements for commercial D&O and Crime insurance, alongside D&O and PI cover for Financial Institutions.
• Understand clients’ businesses, risk exposures and insurance requirements, translating these into clear market submissions.
• Approach appropriate insurers, obtain quotations and negotiate coverage, pricing and policy terms.
• Review quotations and policy wordings, identifying exclusions, conditions and coverage differences.
• Present suitable options and explain the scope and limitations of cover clearly.
• Manage renewals, new business placements and mid-term adjustments within agreed timescales.
• Maintain effective relationships with clients, insurers and other market partners.
• Prepare and check placement documentation, ensuring accurate records and clear instructions.

What we’re looking for:

• Insurance broking or underwriting experience, ideally within financial lines and the London insurance market.
• Knowledge of D&O, Crime and Financial Institutions PI insurance (Desirable).
• Strong negotiation, relationship management and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret policy wording and explain technical insurance information clearly.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• A client-focused approach and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Awareness of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
