Job Title: Financial Institution Credit Officer

Location: London

Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President

As a Financial Institution (FI) Credit Officer, you will be responsible for managing credit risk stemming from Deutsche Bank’s business activities across a broad portfolio of European financial institutions and sovereigns. You will be part of the London team reporting to the Global Head of FI Credit based in New York.

Your key responsibilities:

• Managing your own credit portfolio, including transactional approvals, setting credit limits, credit reviews, portfolio monitoring, documentation negotiation, and participating in due diligence calls.
• Collaborating with Sales/Front Office and other risk & infrastructure functions such as Market Risk, Legal, Collateral Management, and Operations.
• Engaging with senior management within the Credit Risk Management organization.
• Contributing to process improvements through project work.

Your skills and experience:

• Experience in credit risk management with financial institutions like banks, insurance companies, broker-dealers, etc.
• Knowledge of derivatives, securities financing, and traditional lending products, including investment banking mandates and letters of credit.
• Understanding of master trading documentation such as ISDA, GMRA, and MSLA agreements.
• Familiarity with credit rating processes.
• Strong credit risk analysis skills and ability to balance business demands with risk management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure; assertive, motivated, and a team player.
