Job summary

Ocean Housing is seeking a Financial Inclusion Advisor to support customers in improving financial wellbeing. You will provide expert welfare benefits advice, help tenants maximise income, and collaborate with external agencies to ensure access to support.

You will deliver tailored guidance, assist those affected by welfare reform, promote financial capability and tenancy sustainment, and advocate for vulnerable customers within our Cornwall region. The role offers flexible Agile working options.

Qualifications

  • GCSEs English and Maths (grades 4–9 or A–C)
  • A-levels or equivalent Level 3 qualifications
  • Information, Advice and Guidance qualification or equivalent experience

The Vacancy
Join Our Team as a Financial Inclusion Advisor

Location: St Austell, Cornwall (Head Office) - with travel across the region
Hours: 30 hours per week (across 5 days)
Salary: £23,624.60 per annum (pro rated) (FTE £29,137.00 per annum)
Department: Customer Experience & Commercial

About the Role

As a Financial Inclusion Advisor, you'll play a vital role in supporting our customers to improve their financial wellbeing. You'll provide expert advice on welfare benefits, help tenants maximise their income, and work closely with other agencies to ensure customers receive the support they need.

  • Delivering tailored welfare benefit and financial inclusion advice.
  • Supporting customers affected by welfare reform.
  • Promoting financial capability and tenancy sustainment.
  • Building strong partnerships with external agencies.
  • Advocating on behalf of vulnerable customers.

Essential qualifications include:
