Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Financial Crime Programme Director to lead Change and Transformation across Compliance, coordinating with SMEs and leadership to deliver high‑quality outcomes for group programs. The role involves reporting to heads of Compliance and MLROs, requiring a Can‑do attitude in a high‑priority, fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities include managing change projects, developing plans, and ensuring delivery on time and within budget while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have delivered multiple transformation programmes for Compliance and Financial Crime, operations and risk management teams.
• Must have board-level and C-suite reporting experience.
• Must have coordinated regulatory responses and drafted materials for regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

• Manage change projects to deliver on time, within scope and budget, and in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Develop and manage project plans with timelines and resource requirements.
• Communicate with senior management, project teams and external partners to share progress and align expectations.
• Direct project teams, ensuring appropriate resources and expertise to deliver objectives.
• Oversee budgets and create progress reports to show timelines and costs.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies.
• Lead change management activities including training and communication to embed changes.
