The Part-Time Finance People are seeking a commercially-minded Financial Controller to lead the finance function for SMEs on a part-time basis (2 days per week). You will oversee management accounts, cash flow, and financial controls, with self-employment and immediate availability an advantage. Onsite role in Warrington and surrounding areas.

Sponsorship not available. With ACCA/CIMA/ACMA/FCCA/ICAEW or QBE and 5+ years of experience, you will guide budgeting, year-end processes, and reporting

Qualifications

• Must be fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACMA/FCCA/ICAEW) or QBE (5+ years) with experience leading a finance team.
• Experience in growing SMEs and self-employed availability 2 days per week.
• Experience with management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, budgets, cash flow and forecasting.
• Experience implementing financial controls and year-end processes (not statutory accounts).
• Proficient in presenting financial information to non-financial leaders.

About the role:

The role is to work with our clients in their business, this could be within a variety of industries including professional services, manufacturing, retail/wholesale, construction, technology or media. The basics in the finance function are covered but there is a need for an experienced and commercially-minded Financial Controller to lead the finance function and help move the business forward, on a part-time basis.

About You:

You should be a qualified and experienced Financial Controller with experience working in growing SMEs. Ideally, you are already self-employed and available quickly with at least 2 days of availability per week.

Your expertise should include:

• management accounts
• balance sheet reconciliations
• budgets, cashflow and profit forecasting
• experience and working knowledge of Xero
• experience of managing and leading a small team
• experienced in assessing and implementing appropriate financial controls
• year-end processes (but not statutory accounts)
• experienced excel user including pivots, sumifs and graphs
• proficiency in presenting financial and commercial information to non-financial leaders
• you must be fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACMA/FCCA/ICAEW) or QBE (5+ years) with experience managing a finance team

As this role is two days a week (self employed basis) it could work alongside other client work

Rate of pay:

£35 per hour
