The Business

Harmonic is working with a high-growth E-commerce Tech startup to find a Financial Controller to join their London team.

The company has developed a game-changing logistics platform that transforms e-commerce by making delivery faster, more cost-effective, and sustainable. Backed by top-tier VCs following a successful Series A, they are expanding internationally. Currently generating £20m revenue with 500% growth over the past year, they aim for similar growth in the next 12–18 months.

Based in Central London, you’ll join a sharp, ambitious team with extensive experience in scaling leading tech businesses.

The Role

Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller will build and lead the core finance function. Responsibilities include managing financial operations, treasury, working capital, and implementing scalable systems to support growth.

Responsibilities

• Treasury & Working Capital: Oversee cash flow, banking, liquidity planning, and optimize receivables, payables, and inventory cycles.
• Systems & Processes: Lead the selection and implementation of finance systems (ERP, TMS, billing) and build scalable processes.
• Financial Operations: Manage the close process, ensure compliance, and maintain relationships with external financial partners.
• Strategic Finance & Team Leadership: Support budgeting, forecasting, provide commercial insights, and develop a high-performing finance team.

Requirements

• ACA/CIMA/ACCA Qualified
• Hands-on controllership experience in a fast-paced start-up or scale-up
• Experience in technology, e-commerce, logistics, or supply chain (preferred but not essential)
• Proven track record of building and improving finance processes and systems
• Strong accounting technical knowledge
