Job summary

Benjamin Edwards Recruitment Solutions Ltd in Lincoln seeks an experienced Financial Controller to lead a small finance team and own management and statutory reporting. You will drive improvements in reporting processes, oversee cash flow forecasting, audits, tax and budgeting, and partner with senior stakeholders across the business.

The role involves responsibility for year-end accounts, rolling forecasting, and capital expenditure, with strong technical accounting and ownership mindset.

Qualifications

• Strong management accounts and statutory reporting experience.
• Experience with year-end accounts and working with external auditors.
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation and financial control experience.
• Good understanding of cash flow forecasting, budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of weekly financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Driving improvements to financial reporting processes and data capture.
• Developing trend and variance analysis across P&L areas.
• Managing month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Overseeing year-end statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors.
• Producing rolling cash flow forecasts and capital expenditure analysis.
• Leading and developing a team of five finance professionals.
• Providing clear explanations of variances against budget and prior year.
