Job summary

Benjamin Edwards is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join the team in Lincolnshire. You will manage both management and statutory reporting, cash flow forecasting, and lead a small finance team, reporting to the Head of Finance.

This is a broad role with influence across finance processes and strategic planning. This opportunity offers a chance to work with an award-winning team in a growing business, with responsibility for year-end, tax compliance and budgeting while driving

Qualifications

• Strong management accounts and statutory reporting experience.
• Experience with year-end accounts and working with external auditors.
• Proactive and analytical with a continuous-improvement mindset.
• Ability to lead and develop a finance team.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of weekly financial reporting across the business, ensuring figures are accurate, robust and delivered on time.
• Drive improvements to financial reporting processes, including streamlining spreadsheets and improving data capture.
• Develop trend and variance analysis across key areas of the P&L.
• Take responsibility for the month-end management accounts process and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements and explain variances to budget and prior year.
• Prepare year-end statutory accounts and work with external auditors; manage statutory reporting requirements.
