Job summary

Benjamin Edwards is recruiting for an experienced Financial Controller to join an established business in Lincolnshire. The role offers ownership of weekly reporting, balance sheet control and year-end statutory accounts, with a small team and close collaboration with the Head of Finance.

You will drive improvements in processes, oversee tax and regulatory reporting, and manage cash flow forecasting while supporting cross-functional teams on budgeting and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Strong management accounts and statutory reporting experience.
• Experience with year-end accounts and working with external auditors.
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation and financial control experience.
• Good understanding of cash flow forecasting, budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of weekly financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Drive improvements to financial reporting processes and data capture.
• Develop trend and variance analysis for key P&L areas.
• Own month-end management accounts process and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review P&L, balance sheet and cash flow and explain variances against budget and prior year.
• Oversee year-end statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
• Produce rolling 13-week cash flow forecast including EBITDA and capex.
• Lead and develop a team of five finance professionals.
