Job summary

Sagoss Group is looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to own the finance function across three growing businesses. You will drive accurate reporting, strong controls, and cash-flow visibility, while partnering with sales, bids, operations and senior leaders to support pricing, renewals and cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications

• Formally qualified with ACCA, CIMA or ACA
• Experience owning a broad, hands-on finance function in a growing SME
• Advanced Xero capability and ability to configure and automate
• Proven success improving credit control, invoicing timeliness and cash collection
• Commercial finance experience supporting quotations, bids and pricing
• Experience identifying cost savings and process improvements with measurable results
• Strong Excel and Microsoft 365 skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
• Clear written and verbal communication in plain English

Responsibilities

• Own purchase ledger and sales ledger, reconciliations, journals, accruals
• Prepare management accounts, P&L, balance sheet and cash flow with commentary
• Oversee payroll, pensions, VAT returns and year-end with external advisers
• Manage invoicing and credit control, maintain debtor records
• Produce rolling cash-flow forecasts and highlight risks
• Support quotations, pricing, renewals and margin models
• Identify supplier cost savings and automation opportunities
• Deliver weekly finance packs and monthly budgets/forecasts
• Own Xero configurations and data quality across the group
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and operate autonomously
