Job summary

Sagoss Group is seeking a Financial Controller to own the complete finance function across three growing businesses, delivering accurate reporting, strong controls, and clear cash-flow visibility. You will partner with sales, bids and operations to support pricing decisions, cost-saving initiatives and automation across the Xero-led platform.

We require a formal accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) and proven hands-on experience in SME or multi-entity groups, with robust UK accounting

Qualifications

Qualified with ACCA, CIMA or ACA
Proven hands-on finance function ownership in an SME or multi-company group
Strong knowledge of UK accounting processes, month-end, payroll, VAT, HMRC
Advanced Xero capability and ability to configure and improve the platform
Proven track record in improving credit control, cash collection and working capital
Experience supporting quotations, bids, pricing, margins and renewals

Responsibilities

Own the complete finance function across three growing businesses
Deliver accurate management accounts, reporting and KPIs
Manage payroll, pensions, VAT, and year-end tasks with external advisers
Oversee invoicing, credit control and cash-flow forecasting
Lead process improvements, automation and Xero integrations
Collaborate with sales, bids, operations and senior leaders on pricing and cost-saving initiatives
